God the Father makes available to us the same power that raised Jesus His only begotten Son from the grave as His beloved adopted sons. As the Son sits at the right hand of the Father, He is highly exalted and the head of all things. He alone is the head of the church. As members of His body we are to stand against all things that appose His kingdom. He gave us His own life to be victorious in this battle.

What a tragedy it would be for the believer to go through life unaware of the greatness of God's power toward all who believe. He desires that we would receive revelation and have the eyes of our hearts opened to all we have in Him. There is no limit to the greatness of His power for us who believe. He desires that we walk in this transforming experience.

In Paul's prayer he ask that they would not only have revelation but that the eyes of the saints hearts would be enlightened to see what a glorious inheritance they have in Christ. He didn't want them to be ignorant of their blessings or get caught in the stranglehold of religion and doing more and trying harder to improve. It is only be grace through faith that we are invited into a personal, moment by moment, responsive relationship with Him.

Paul had heard of the faith of the believers in Christ. There faith was authenticated in how they loved the saints. To enter into a saving relationship with God who is love necessitates a life transformed from selfishness to a sacrificial. self-less, giving of oneself for the benefit of others. In Christ we are vessels of love and life and He gives us wisdom and revelation. As we approach the word of God we should be seeking wisdom to discern truth and heart for the Holy Spirit to bring us revelation of all He is and has done for us.

Our response to hearing the Good News determines our salvation. If we hear and believe we belong to Him and He comes to live in us through the Holy Spirit to equip us and empower us to live as bondservants of Christ. The Holy Spirit is His seal that belong to Him and our faith is authentic. All of this works to the praise of His glory for He is the source and foundation. Faith is simply our receptivity to His activity.
