"Nathan Confronts David" 2 Samuel 12:1-15

David was under the impression that his sins were kept secret when God sends Nathan the prophet to confront him and reveal to him the serious consequences of his actions. The Lord forgives David but he doesn't remove the consequences and they would be long lasting. We who have entrusted our lives to Christ are completely forgiven but there still remain consequences for our sins. What God prohibits He does so for our good and when we violate God's will we remain forgiven but we still suffer the consequences. There are no secrets with God.
