"Salvation Belongs to the Lord" Psalm 3:1-8

David was facing a rebellion led by his son Absalom.  When it seemed that there was no hope he cries out to God for salvation.  It wasn't salvation in the sense of going to heaven but salvation from his enemies.  He knew that God alone is the one who saves and his trust was in the Lord.  We too can call upon the Lord for deliverance.  He is the one that saves us from the penalty of our sin, He is constantly saving us and has promised to save us at the end of this age.
