"The Foundation is Christ" Colossians 2:16-19

Paul reminds them that the New Covenant is not about food and drink or special holy days but about Christ.  He recognized that there were false teacher then as there is now that want to impose regulations on the believers diet and activity as a way of attaining or maintaining favor with God or to earn righteousness.  It is always to be focused on Jesus who is our head and the one who leads us in freedom and growth by His own power.
