"Christ Our Life" Colossians 3:4-7

When we come to Christ and are born-again by grace through faith in Him alone He makes us new creatures.  We who were physically alive but spiritually dead are made alive in Him.  Not only are we alive but He is our life.  Christ our life is to have a whole new source and power to fulfill all that He desires to do in and through us.  Because we have a new nature and belong to Him we have a completely new way of living.  We by His power put to death the deeds of the flesh for they no longer suit who we are in Him.  The temptations and desires of the flesh will remain but we have a whole new relationship to the things common to a sinful world.
