"Putting Off and Putting On" Colossians 3:8-11

Oneness with Christ is to be a New Creature with a whole new way of living.  We must be intentional and putting off the behaviors that were normal for us slaves to sin.  We do this by living in surrendered obedience to His indwelling life.  In addition we put on that which reflects the righteousness and holiness that is ours in Christ. We must reject the temptation to make excuses for our anger and obscene talk and seek deeply the heartbeat of God and stay in step with the Spirit of Christ in us.
